Pan Seared Puttansca Cod with Crusty Bread

Ingredients (Serves 4)
4 cod fillets (about 6 oz each)
Salt & black pepper
2 tbsp olive oil
1 jar Savory Spoon Foods Puttanesca Sauce
4 thick slices sourdough or rustic baguette
1 garlic clove, halved
Fresh parsley or basil
Lemon wedges
Instructions
Warm the sauce
Pour the Savory Spoon Foods Puttanesca Sauce into a skillet or saucepan over medium-low heat. Let simmer gently for 5–7 minutes until warmed through.Sear the cod
Pat the cod dry and season generously with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the cod for 3–4 minutes per side until golden and just flaky in the center.Toast the bread
Brush bread lightly with olive oil and toast until crisp and golden. Rub with the cut side of the garlic clove while still warm.
To Serve
Spoon the warm puttanesca sauce into shallow bowls or plates. Top with the cod and serve with the toasted bread tucked alongside for soaking up the sauce.
