The Savory Spoon Foods was born in Calgary, Alberta — out of love, memory, and a deep respect for real food.

We make handcrafted pasta and pizza sauces in small batches, with no preservatives and no added sugar. Every jar is made from ingredients you can pronounce, by hands that care about what goes into your family's food.

Our founder grew up at tables of twenty, learned to cook from a Parisian mentor and a grandmother who made everything from scratch, traveled to Tuscany and the South of France, and fell in love with the food traditions of Italy and France before following her heart to Alberta.

We started The Savory Spoon because we believe food should be something you can trust. Real ingredients. Nothing hidden. Nothing you can't pronounce. In a world where that's become harder to find than it should be, we make it simple — small batch, handcrafted sauces with no preservatives and no added sugar. Because what goes into your family's food matters. And you deserve to know exactly what that is.

The Savory Spoon is not your typical pasta sauce. Alongside our classic Tomato Basil and bold Puttanesca, you'll find a Dill Pickle Pomodoro that will make purists gasp and converts out of everyone who tries it. A Smoky Chipotle that goes from bold red to lush and creamy with just a cup of cream. An Arrabbiata with just the right heat — not 'oh my god' spicy. Just perfectly bold.
