Tomato Basil Chicken Orzo Skillet
This cozy, one-pan Tomato Basil Chicken Orzo Skillet is a weeknight hero. Made with Savory Spoon’s Tomato Basil pasta sauce, it’s rich, comforting, and crafted with clean ingredients and no added sugar or preservatives. Real tomatoes, fragrant basil, and simple pantry staples come together in under 30 minutes.

Ingredients
1 jar Savory Spoon Tomato Basil
2 cups orzo
2 chicken breasts, diced
1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
2 cups fresh spinach
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
2 tbsp olive oil
Fresh basil, chopped (for serving)
Grated parmesan (for serving)
Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
Brown the chicken
Heat olive oil in a large, deep skillet over medium-high heat. Add diced chicken, season with salt and pepper, and cook until lightly browned on all sides.Add aromatics
Stir in garlic and cherry tomatoes. Sauté for 2 minutes until fragrant and the tomatoes begin to soften.Toast the orzo
Add orzo to the pan and toast for 1 minute, stirring to coat it in the pan juices.Add sauce and broth
Pour in the broth and the jar of Savory Spoon Tomato Basil sauce. Stir well and bring to a gentle simmer.Simmer
Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and cook for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the orzo is tender and the mixture is creamy. Add a splash of extra broth if needed.Finish with greens
Stir in spinach and cook 1–2 minutes until just wilted.Serve
Top with fresh basil and grated parmesan. Serve hot straight from the skillet.
