Spicy Shrimp & Zucchini Pasta (Arrabbiata)

This Spicy Shrimp & Zucchini Pasta puts Savory Spoon’s Arrabbiata sauce front and centre. Bright, bold, and a little fiery, it’s a clean-ingredient pasta dish that feels restaurant-level but comes together fast enough for busy weeknights

Serves: 4 | Time: 20 minutes | Serving Size: ~2 cups

Ingredients:

  • 1 jar Savory Spoon Arrabbiata

  • 400 g pasta (penne, rigatoni, or linguine)

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 1–2 zucchinis, sliced into half-moons

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • ¼ tsp chili flakes (optional, for extra heat)

  • Zest of 1 lemon

  • Fresh parsley, chopped

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  1. Cook the pasta
    Cook pasta in salted boiling water according to package directions. Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain.

  2. Cook the shrimp
    In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add shrimp, season with salt, pepper, and chili flakes (if using), and cook 2–3 minutes until just pink. Remove shrimp to a plate.

  3. Sauté the zucchini
    In the same skillet, add zucchini and garlic. Cook 3–4 minutes until the zucchini is tender-crisp.

  4. Add the sauce
    Pour in the jar of Savory Spoon Arrabbiata. Stir and let it simmer for 2–3 minutes.

  5. Combine
    Return shrimp to the skillet, add cooked pasta, and toss to coat. Add a splash of reserved pasta water if you want a looser sauce.

  6. Finish & serve
    Top with lemon zest and fresh parsley. Serve immediately.
